Kristo Šagor is a playwright, director and lecturer. Born in 1976 in Stadtoldendorf, Germany, and raised in Lübeck, he now currently resides in Berlin.
Kristo studied German literature, linguistics and theater at Free University of Berlin and at Trinity College Dublin. He has directed throughout Germany, including at the National Theater Mannheim, Schauspielhaus Bochum and Staatsschauspiel Dresden. Kristo's plays have been produced throughout Germany and internationally, including Australia and the United States. He currently teaches at University of Hildesheim.
In 2008 Kristo received the German theater prize "DER FAUST" for his staging of "Törleß" at Schauspielhaus Hamburg. His plays are published by Gustav Kiepenheuer Bühnenvertriebs-GmbH.
