Karin Serres was born in 1967. She works as a director, set designer, dramatic translator and playwright. She writes also radioplays, theatre serials and novels. She has written more than 50 plays for both young audiences and adults. Her theatre is published, staged and translated in many languages. She works often for artistic transmission. She is passionate with the live writing and she always dreams up new projects, to let her words cross other playwright’s words from all around the world : co-founder of LABOO7 and COQ CIG GRU-action group, member of H/F and THOPIC, she is also working with ETC, Banff playRite Colony, Maison Antoine Vitez… et lots of theatres and companies. She has received grants from IDF Cultural Council, CNL, DMDTS and Transfert Théâtral. She also took part in personal “résidences”, because working elsewhere, in some unknown place, is her favorite energy for writing. She speaks fluent English.
