Winners of the Polish TYA play competition announced!

The Jury of the Twenty-Third Theatre for Children and Young People Play Competition (Paweł Aigner, Piotr Cieplak, Tadeusz Pajdała, Waldemar Raźniak and Zbigniew Rudziński) has met and made its decisions.

The three major awards were given to
-Snow (Śnieży) by Robert Jarosz
-Malwinka in the Kingdom of Birds
(Malwinka w ptasim królestwie) by Agnieszka Wiktorowska-Chmielewska
-Me as…?
 (Ja, jako…) by Stach Szulist

A special award was given to
-Julia Panufnik for Dog in Boots (Pies w butach)

Two honourable mentions were given to
-Marta Guśniowska for Snake” (Wąż)
-Liliana Bardijewska for Aging Potion (Eliksir starości)

100 plays took part in the competition.

The winners have been invited for The Playwright’s WORKSHOP and their plays will be printed in the 33rd edition of “New Plays for Children and Young People”.

At least three of the awarded plays will be included in “The Reading Stage” project held every year by The Children’s Art Centre in Poznań

Synopses of the awarded plays will be published on www.nowesztuki.pl.
