US Playwrights/Theaters: Call for Proposals for New Visions/New Voices 2020

New Visions/New Voices 2020

Submit to our workshop/festival supporting the creation of new plays and musicals for young audiences!

Dear TYA Colleagues,

U.S. submissions are now being accepted online for participation in New Visions/New Voices 2020, a biennial developmental workshop for new plays and musicals for young audiences held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

Submissions must come from a U.S theater that plans to produce the work in development, and includes the names of playwright and director who are available from May 10–17, 2020 to workshop the piece in Washington, D.C.

The New Visions/New Voices selection committee accepts applications with text-based work as well as devised work and pieces whose narrative is not solely text-based. Applicants can submit video and audio materials along with their script/treatment if desired.

The application for New Visions/New Voices is only available online. The link includes details on submission criteria, as well as our application guidelines. Questions? Please email kctya@Kennedy-Center.org. The application deadline is July 28, 2019.

Looking forward to seeing your submissions,

Deirdre Kelly Lavrakas and Kim Peter Kovac
