Manny Aston has a background in film and television production and extensive experience as an educational theatre writer. He was writer-in-residence for Self Raising Theatre and Theatre South, and has had a number of plays commissioned by Canberra’s Jigsaw Theatre Company. He is best known for his award-winning play for teenagers, Fossils, which has enjoyed popular seasons with professional theatres in Australia and overseas.

Manny has been a regular contributor for a number of magazines writing monthly articles on scriptwriting and creativity. His book Study Right was published in 2006 and is available from www.reedybooks.com.au.

In early 2008, Manny started his blog site, The Study Doctor (www.thestudydoctor.com) which he hopes will build into valuable and entertaining resource for teachers and students.
