Federica Iacobelli is an italian writer, playwright and scriptwriter. Graduated in Ancient Literature and specialized in Journalism and Screenwriting, she wrote stories and scripts for books, theater, cinema, documentaries and TV, often born from the encounter with the memories of lives and the language of different arts. She teaches screenwriting in ISIA U Animation short film Department, she is director of the theatrical literature series I gabbiani (Andersen Prize 2023) and she has published two novels and many long stories and picture book’s stories for young readers, some of which have been translated and published in France and won prizes such as Pippi Writers Award and La Escritura De la/S Diferencia/S international dramaturgy Prize. She was among the screenwriters of the TV program L’albero azzurro (Rai) and the animated series Art with Matì and Dadà by Giovanna Bo (Rai/Acthoons). A non fiction-biopic for Creative Editions (USA) is in development. She loves writing for young readers and has created a dedicated theatre literature book series for them, collecting plays from Italy and around the world.
