Conley, Willy (USA)
Willy Conley’s plays have been published in The Tactile Mind, Theatre for Young Audiences Today, Broken Spokes, and No Walls of Stone. His most recent book was "Vignettes of the Deaf Character and Other Plays". Awards include PEW/TCG National Theatre Artist Residency grant, VSA 2000 Playwrights Discovery Award, Lamia Ink! 8th Annual International One-Page Play Award, American Deaf Drama Award, and Sam Edwards Deaf Playwrights Award. His plays have been produced off-off Broadway, the Kennedy Center, Imagination Stage, in Europe, and various universities in the U.S. Conley is currently a professor of Theatre Arts at Gallaudet University, the world’s only liberal arts university for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students, in Washington, D.C.
