Mojalefa Samson Mlambo
Mojalefa Samson Mlambo is a freelancing playwright, director, poet, mentor, tutor, drama facilitator and an actor. He holds a National Diploma in Drama from Durban University of Technology and a B-Tech degree from Tshwane University of Technology. He had written and directedaward winning theatre productions such as Juice, Meet Bro Six Two, The Shoe Man,Breath Taken, The Preacher’s Dinner Table, The Dowry, Unforgiving father, The General’s Daughter and Morena.
He is also a part time writer and critic for a Naane Le Moya blog. He tutors his Scriptwriting 101 Master classes across South Africa and a part time/freelance tutor for acting and directing classes. He also mentors various community theatre groups and theatre writers from Zambia, Kenya, China, USA, and Australia. He holds writing and acting workshops in correctional services and community halls.
His works received various awards such as Most Promising Script award, Best Achievement In Comic Script award, Audience Favourite award, Best New Comer award, Best Production award and was an overall 1st price winner of Masakhane’s Festival at Soweto theatre. He has recently participated in New Vision/New Voices festival at Kennedy Centre and International Playwright Intensive at Maryland University where his new play Mr Jozé And The Rabbits was developed. He is currently compiling a book titled Plays for directing Projects and is also releasing his 1st Tswana Poetry Book.
